Breakfast at Phoebe's is a band originally from Helsinki, but now based in Paris. The heart of Breakfast at Phoebe's is its leader and composer, Mikael Kuosmanen and the singer Tua Hakanpaa, and the other parts of the body has been changing under different situations, mainly depending on the location of the group and its people. The music is influenced with many different genres, for example indie rock, pop, jazz, soul, world and classical music. In the summer 2008, first demo was recorded with finnish musicians and released on myspace. In autumn some gigs were held in rock clubs and other venues and happenings in Helsinki.

December 2008 was a moment for big changes inside the group. Mikael moved to Paris and started to work with Parisian musicians. During the spring the new crew practiced together and in the summer, Tua joined the rest of the band in Paris and some gigs were held in Paris. In august, the group came to Finland, and some gigs were held with Finnish and French musicians in the group. Also studio session with half crew was held and the result, a new mini EP is expected to be released this fall. Since the beginning, the feedback has been extremely positive.
